Licence activation

Plan: Pro

Activate the licence

  1. Install and activate the free GaugeQuote plugin, then GaugeQuote Pro (Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin, with the GaugeQuote Pro zip from your purchase).
  2. Open WooCommerce > GaugeQuote Pro.
  3. Paste your licence key into the activation screen and confirm. Or start the 14-day free trial there, without a card.

The licence tab then shows the status, plan, billing and end date, with links to your Freemius account (renew, change plan, remove the licence from this site) and to the plans. Only site administrators see these links.

You can also start the trial from the About GaugeQuote Pro link on WooCommerce > GaugeQuote in the free plugin.

What each plan runs

  • Pro: price formulas, customer price lists and quantity tiers, shared option sets, CSV import and export, saved quotes and the quote PDF, branded job sheets, one machine.
  • Cutting: everything in Pro, plus the DXF instant quote, with 2 machines in all.
  • Cutting Plus: everything in Cutting, with no machine limit.
  • Free trial: the features of the plan you try, for 14 days.

When a licence ends

  • Without an active licence, the Pro features are off. The free plugin keeps working.
  • Yearly and lifetime licences: the features keep working after the end date; updates and support stop.
  • Monthly plans: the paid features stop 2 days after the end date if the renewal does not come through.
  • Free trial: the features stop when the trial ends.
  • Your settings, quotes, price lists and machines stay saved and come back when the licence is active again. Until then, products that use a paid feature are paused (not sold), and the admin screen names the plan each feature needs.

What GaugeQuote Pro sends

GaugeQuote Pro connects to Freemius only to activate and check the licence, to start a trial and to look for updates. When you activate a licence or start a trial, Freemius receives the licence key, the site address, and the WordPress, PHP and plugin versions. Unless you switch it off on the activation screen, it also receives the site title and language and the list of plugins and themes. Your name and email address are needed only when the key does not already name its owner.
